Overview
An established investment bank is seeking a Vice President to join its M&A and Equity Capital Markets team in Dubai. The role will suit an investment banking professional with strong transaction execution experience across both M&A and ECM, with exposure to the Middle East and broader EMEA markets highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will work across a range of transactions, supporting senior bankers on origination and execution while taking responsibility for managing junior team members and driving processes forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute M&A advisory and ECM transactions from origination through to completion.
- Support senior bankers in developing and executing strategic and corporate finance mandates.
- Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, transaction materials and pitch books.
- Lead day-to-day execution of transactions, coordinating with clients, advisors, legal counsel and other stakeholders.
- Develop high-quality presentations, including M&A, ECM and strategic advisory materials.
- Conduct detailed company, industry and market analysis to support transaction and origination activity.
- Take ownership of workstreams and ensure transactions progress efficiently against key deadlines.
- Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates, providing guidance on analysis, modelling and transaction execution.
- Contribute to client relationship development and support senior bankers in identifying new business opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of capital markets, M&A activity and investor sentiment across the Middle East and EMEA.
Candidate Requirements
- 5–8 years of investment banking experience, ideally gained within a leading international or regional investment bank.
- Demonstrable transaction experience across both M&A and ECM.
- Strong understanding of M&A processes, valuation, financial modelling and equity capital markets.
- Proven ability to manage transaction workstreams independently and operate effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Middle East transaction experience strongly preferred, with broader EMEA experience considered highly advantageous.
- Sector-agnostic experience is welcomed; the role will cover a broad range of industries.
- Experience working directly with senior clients and managing junior team members.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
