About the ClientOur client, a leading bank in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a senior credit leader to head the Corporate Credit function within its Wholesale Banking Group. The role will focus on overseeing credit approvals, portfolio quality, transaction structuring, and leading a high-performing credit team while ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the corporate credit function, overseeing credit approvals, structuring, and underwriting of complex corporate transactionsMonitor portfolio quality, ensuring early identification of risks and proactive mitigation actions in line with credit policiesReview and guide credit applications to ensure high-quality standards, accuracy, and compliance with internal frameworksPartner with coverage, product, and risk teams to support transaction structuring and client engagement on risk-related mattersOversee team performance, capability development, and efficient resource allocation while maintaining governance and policy adherence
Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA in Finance preferredMinimum 15 years’ banking experience, including at least 5 years in senior credit or credit leadership rolesStrong expertise in corporate credit underwriting, structuring, and portfolio risk managementProven experience working with senior stakeholders and Credit Committees in a banking environmentStrong leadership, analytical, and team development skills with deep knowledge of credit policies and governance frameworks
