Head- Finance Operation & Budget
Location: Riyadh, KSA
About the Company
We are currently working with a fast growing Financial Institution that is looking for a seasoned finance leader to take ownership of their budgeting and finance operations function — a broad, high-impact role sitting directly beneath the CFO and touching virtually every part of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the institution's annual financial planning cycle end-to-end, setting key budget drivers, stress-testing assumptions, and keeping leadership ahead of performance trends through regular forecasting and variance commentary
- Serve as the central engine for internal management information — delivering granular performance insight at product, customer, and entity level to support ALCO, pricing decisions, and strategic planning
- Oversee the full spectrum of transactional finance — from invoice processing and supplier settlements to period-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory payments to government bodies
- Act as the subject matter expert on SAMA and ZATCA compliance, ensuring all finance operations are structured and documented to meet regulatory expectations
- Take ownership of the ERP environment, leading system enhancements, module rollouts, and the broader push toward a more automated and analytics-driven finance function
- Work closely with business and product teams to pressure-test new initiatives financially, evaluate operating models, and translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes
- Build and develop a high-performing team, shifting the function's culture from transactional processing toward genuine financial partnership
Requirements
- 10+ years in finance within the banking sector, with a track record spanning both FP&A and operational finance
- Solid grounding in management accounting, cost allocation, and revenue assurance within a banking context
- Practical experience running or significantly contributing to an ERP implementation or optimisation programme
- Comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business narratives
- Exposure to finance digitalisation or automation projects is a distinct advantage
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional qualification would strengthen your application
Due to nationalization efforts this role is only open to KSA Nationals
