About the ClientOur client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a Head of Trading to oversee CFD and equity trading activities, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management. The role provides strategic oversight of trade execution, settlement, and client asset safeguarding across the regional business.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all CFD and equity trading activities, ensuring compliance with matched principal practices and best execution standards.Oversee the full trade lifecycle, including order routing, execution, settlement, and safeguarding of client assets.Maintain robust operational controls, reconciliations, and reporting in line with regulatory and internal requirements.Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to uphold regulatory standards, internal policies, and operational risk controls.Deliver management insights on trading performance, operational incidents, and regulatory matters.
QualificationsAt least 7 years’ experience in trading, execution management, or dealing within a regulated financial services setting, preferably covering CFDs and equities.Experience managing matched principal trading arrangements and back-to-back transactions.Knowledge of equity order flow, custody operations, and client asset protection.Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, conduct rules, and trading best practices.Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; professional trading or market qualifications (e.g., CISI) are a plus.
