Job: VP- Global Financial Crime AuditLocation: Doha, QatarSector: Banking
Role Overview:You’ll lead the end-to-end audit strategy for financial crime compliance across head office functions, international branches, and subsidiaries. The position plays a critical role in protecting the bank from financial crime risks, aligning global practices with regulatory expectations, and driving continuous improvements in audit quality and coverage.
Key Highlights:Audit Leadership: Oversee and execute dedicated FCR audits across business lines, risk functions, and geographies—ensuring consistent application of global standards and best practices.Regulatory Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors; ensure audit plans address evolving regulatory expectations in multiple jurisdictions.Strategic Oversight: Design the FCR audit universe and risk assessment methodology, integrate data analytics into audit work, and advise on compliance framework enhancements across the Group.Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse global audit team; set KPIs, manage performance, and ensure knowledge transfer across jurisdictions.Group Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Group Compliance, Risk, and senior management, to ensure seamless alignment on audit coverage and strategic initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:12+ years of audit experience within leading banks or Big Four firms, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role focused on financial crime compliance.Subject matter expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC, anti-fraud, and related FCR domains.Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, QCB, FCA, MAS, FINMA).Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels.Professional certifications preferred: CIA, CAMS, CFE, CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.
